Tiffany Lee

Tiffany Lee is twelve years old. She is currently a seventh grader in Fairfax County, VA. Tiffany has been learning GuZheng with teacher Lei Gu since she was seven. Ever since then, she fell in love with GuZheng. She enjoys learning and practicing GuZheng. One of the things Tiffany loves about GuZheng is that GuZheng has a lot more dynamics than other instruments and she can express herself through the music. Tiffany says: "It is such a wildly diverse instrument and there are so many ways you can play it". Besides GuZheng, Tiffany also practices dance three times a week and Chinese Kungfu twice a week. By learning all these, Tiffany has learned a lot about Chinese cultures. She also gained numerous experiences through these extracurricular activities. Furthermore, she and her friends performed their winning GuZheng piece "Raising the Lanterns" at United Nation. She and her dance team also competed at The World Dance Championship and placed 2nd place out of 30+ competitive teams. Tiffany also has performed at Kennedy Center, Strathmore Music Center and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, etc. Tiffany also received her individual 3rd place award at the AAMS Music Competition in 2016. GuZheng has given Tiffany so many opportunities and she will definitely continue to play GuZheng and get better and better. Tiffany is glad that she decided to learn GuZheng five years ago!
